
San Francisco: Trolling has been a Huge Problem on social media and especially celebrities and for content creators its on next level. to handle this situation Meta-owned photo-sharing platform Instagram is bringing in a new update to handle the unwanted trolls.
With latest feature involving moderators Instagram is working on handling these unacceptable comments during live stareaming. The feature helps the live creators to assign moderators during live and the moderators can either report those comments or switch off the comments or else they can boot troublesome viewers from the stream, reports Engadget.
To add a moderator a live user or a creator has to tap the menu icon on the comment bar and can search for a specific person or choose a user from a list suggested by Instagram.
Instagram is rolling out the feature to help live creators to focus on engaging in positive discussions instead of spending time addressing unwanted interactions, the report said. ‘The feature will definitely comes as handy to tackle the trollers,’ a live creator said.
Instagram’s boomerang which was launched to allow users to create short videos way back in 2014 has been romed recently. Instagram removed Boomerang shortly after stopping support for IGTV application.
