With the help of a storyline or the story feature, the employee can connect with the co-workers of the company and share their thoughts, passions, expertise, and ideas. In addition, the leaders also can share news, insights, and ideas, and answer questions. And also facilitate two-way conversations that help employees feel heard and included, the Microsoft Company said.

It features all of the same features you’d expect of a modern social media platform including the news feeds, profiles, and the ability to post images and videos. Features like pinned conversations, virtual events, and announcements with notifications across Teams, Outlook, and Viva Connections.

The Microsoft new app Viva Engage helps them stay connected and gives multiple tasks, roles, and functions where they need to connect. No matter when or where they work meanwhile work in an office or remotely.

It is about helping employees excel at their jobs, whether in sales or marketing, finance, or IT. But the employees experience more than that.

The Viva Engage is a social app for digital communities, conversations, and self-expression tools that builds on the existing capabilities of the Communities app for Teams and Microsoft 365 to empower everyone and to contribute themselves.

Microsoft introduced the first of a new dimension of Viva, tailored to meet these vertical, role-specific needs last month. Viva Engage is available in teams, Microsoft 365, and outlook. Viva Engage is an integral part of the Microsoft Viva Suite, Viva Engage contributes to Viva Connections and Viva Topics and over time will extend community, conversation, and knowledge experiences into other areas.

The Viva Engage has a new way to share the story or the storyline. There are two ways to post your story, the first is, post, and the second is via story itself. By creating a post that includes the links, files, videos, and photos. And these types of posts reach and engage followers and colleagues in Microsoft Viva Connections, Outlook, Yammer, and Teams. The second way, you can create a story, short video, or photo which is a perfect way to stay connected to the people.

Users must have a Yammer license to use the Viva Engage app.
