
San Francisco: Social networking platform aka dating app Tinder has announced users in the US can now perform background check and it will made available for the general public. Tinder latest update to run background checks in-app to screen their matches for possible violent or harmful past behavior is one of the major safety update..

A Tinder user searches will return a results which are more “relevant to the users safety” and all the other results such as “violent harmful such as drug possession and loitering” history will be excluded. also the search results will not include personally identifiable information like addresses and contact numbers.
Tinder revealed each user can perform two background checks searches for free. If the user wants to perform more than 2 background check searches then the user have to pay USD2.50 along with processing fee for each trasaction.
How to Perform Background checks on Tinder
- Press the blue Shield button in the Tinder app
- Go to safety center
- Select Garbo article which will then direct to Garbo’s Website.
Firstly the user has to put in person’s first name and then contact nuber to yield results and if that doesn’t show any results then users have to put more information as age and other details.
The company also urged the users to follow fallow safety and security tips when ever user wants to meet new people through tinder as there is no guarantee that a user is safe based on history results of a person.

If the user found no information for the it doesn’t mean that the match is safe. The company also stated that the feature is designed for users who are “seeking more information about healthy relationships and relationship abuse.”
