1. Sleeping with your Mobile :
One would definetly feel sleeping with a smarphone is very common practice and what’s wrong with it. We always keep smartphones nearby while sleeping so it will be easy to attend calls or just checking phone as soons as you woke. Saying that Sleeping with smartphone nearby is very wrong practice. A smartphone emits radio waves as it is a electromagnetic device with a trasmitter and receiver. Though scientists officially not proved but radio waves might have affect humain brains if you’re expost to radio waves over a period of time. Smartphones are very important to us these days and it is not possible to turn off smartphone while sleeping. Atleast keep it away from you during sleep. possible for you to turn it off completely or keep it in another room while you’re asleep, try keeping it on airplane mode.
2. Blue Light :
The other very common mistake everyone does is being exposed to blue light for too long. Smartphone screen light suppresses melatonin. Melatonin is a very important hormone that regulates your sleep cycle and this major reason you shouldn’t keep smartphone near while you sleep. This blue light is also one of the reasons for causing headaches and eye and sight problems. As precautionary measure it is advised to have check and adjust the light levels on your phone.
3. Weak Signal :
Though Telecom companies constantly working on providing better signal to customers but we need to accept users facing signal strength issues and it is very common in India especially. When ever there is a weak signal on you smartphone, it actually means that the phone’s more energy is consumed and which you can notice- phone gets warmer and it is because the phone has to put stronger signal transmitter and reciever and it will have adverse effect on on your health.
4. Contact with Skin :
It is not recommended to keep smartphone in contact with your skin. Different studies that focus on the link between cell phones and cancer, specifically their transmission signal that’s around 900 MHz, which makes your phone get hot. Human skin absorbs the heat easily in tiny bits every time you keep it in contact with your skin or close to your body. Tough it is not yet proven that effects of phones radiofrequency radiation on the human body it is recommended to keep some distance between you and your smartphone.
5. Body Posture :
Using Smartphone might cause a very bad body posture. There are some cases and we it a fact that using smarphone Tenosynovitis. Tenosynovitis is thumb injury caused because of extensive use of smartphones.
Excessive use of smart phone causes a rare health condition which is termed as “Text Neck”. This means there will be lot of stress on you cervical sine and it increases gradually when you bend your neck forward to look at the smartphone scree. Doctors always suggest to monitor you body posture regularly.
Yes Smartphones are very important in today’s generation but it taking precautionary measures is always a good idea so that it wont effect much and will not have too much negative impact. So from now on switch off your phones in the night and during the day time when you make your calls try to use speaker or ear phones.
