On the day of 15th August when the whole country celebrates Independence, one person in Goa has arrested for dishonoring the National Flag. According to the new rules for flying the tricolor, there is one rule that, if anyone has found dishonoring the National Flag, they could face prison for up to three years. Also, no other flag can be hoisted above the National Flag if you are hoisting the Flag.

In the incident reported in Goa, they found one person who allegedly hoisted a religious flag above the Indian flag at his rented accommodation in Ponda in South Goa. The national flag was not in the position of honor. Goa Police said that the accused person is identified as Kayabuddin Ali, age 43, resident of Ponda in South Goa, and a native of the state of Uttar Pradesh. The relevant action that has been taken against him after locals informed the police about the incident.

The accused person’s family says, it is not Pakistan’s national flag, but a resemblance. It is a religious flag. But one can’t display another flag above the Indian flag at the same pole, Police Inspector Vijay Kumar Chodankar told IANS.

According to police, the accused person had allegedly displayed the Indian flag in the middle of the pole, and the religious flag was hoisted above that, above the National Flag. The case was registered under section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act 1971. Police are doing further investigating the case.

According to the new rules of hoisting a National Flag in the country anywhere, there are some points to be remembered while hoisting the Flag, because the tricolor is the pride of the country if anyone has found dishonoring the flag they shall be punished. I already have discussed those new rules of hoisting the flag, please have a look at it and clear your points.
